Can a p.r. campaign help Charlie Sheen?
on Monday, February 28, 2011
Oh, to be Charlie Sheen right now. Actually, not really. Sheen is a like a train wreck looking for a place to crash right now. Seriously, how much damage can one guy cause? However, that has led to some discussion in the Brett offices of what could be done to help Sheen's battered public image. We are not working for him, but if we were....
1. Get him secluded and out of the spotlight. Seriously, lock him in a cabin with no access to the outside world. The more he talks, the bigger the hole he creates.
2. Write an apology (yes, it will be long and need footnotes).
3. Get him into a rehab program. Yes, it is cliche and overwrought nowadays, but this guy needs the help. However, don't publicize it. This should not become some reality television show.
4. Get him to a charity. And not just write a check thing. This guy needs to start giving back to the world. Yes, it shows him in a good light, but it also gets him to focus on something besides his problems.
5. Finally make Hot Shots, Part Three.
