Dumb Business Stories

Want to know one of our pet peeves (which is not to be considered the same as our pet office cat, Mack)? It is lazy, self congratulatory business articles. Our personal least favorite is from 24/7Wall Street, which just put out its annual list of brands that will die in the coming 12 months. We won't link to their current story, but will instead link to MSNBC's version of it. Screw 'em.

First we start with them crowing about brands that disappeared that they predicted in 2011 -- Blockbuster and T-Mobile Um, well those brands went bankrupt and sold, but did not actually ya know disappear. Unless that T-Mobile store with the lights on and the people I see at the Blockbuster when I drive to work are somehow rogue franchises. No, I just checked both company websites...they still do exist.

Thanks for the accurate reporting there.

So, who do they say will vanish in 2012? Sears, Kelloggs Corn Pops, MySpace, Saab and others. They are sort of proud to put them on the death wish. You know what we wish would die out? Dumb business stories from this group in 2012!
