Trump Attack
on Thursday, April 14, 2011
The potential 2012 presidential candidates have so far been shy about openly proclaiming their intentions. Except for Donald Trump. He is popping up throughout the mainstream media and making his message of wanting to bring down Obama very clear. On his Today Show interview, he talked about Obama's lack of a birth certificate and how he has dedicated himself to finding the truth. He has been quick to point out all of Obama's failures and how he would do things differently. However, when asked for specifics on how he would change things, Trump gets a little less convincing. How does his approach look from a public relations view point? He is certainly succeeding in getting a lot of face time. Everyone knows without a doubt what he thinks about the current administration. His flaw is that maybe he needs to think through his strategy and produce a more specific plan before spouting off about how he would threaten China, etc. But overall, Trump is mounting a very successful PR campaign and getting a lot of attention early on while many potential candidates are biding their time.
