A win for free speech?

Labels: Alito, supreme court, westboro
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favored of the Westboro protesters, you know the people who show up at military funerals to scream at the grieving families about America's tolerance of homosexuality, citing the First Amendment allows for free speech.
Even horrible, brutally stupid free speech.
Is this a win for free speech? I am not sure. I know it is a win for a group of people who incite anger and fear. I know it is a win for a group that does nothing but threaten to do something and gets media attention. I know it is a win for...honestly who else?
Maybe Justice Samuel Alito, Jr. who was the only member of the Supreme Court to vote against the protesters.
