On the way to the office today, I was listening to a local political talk show and heard a call that scared me. The talk show host was discussing the idea that the federal government should require all movie theaters to list all nutritional information in their snacks. The caller was saying that he thought this was a wonderful idea because it is the government's job to give him all the information so he can make a decision. He said that he has a right to know what is in the popcorn. It scares me that some American's are so eager to invite the government into more and more areas of their lives. Do you really need the government to tell you whether you should eat the popcorn? Think for yourself and stop depending on government regulations to make decisions for you.
